Linking to Link

The problems I always head when it comes to classes, are memorizing the right terms with right definitions. It was always hard for me to memorize many words at once. When I first learned about the LINK in CLS class, I thought it was just too much because we have to link all the words with either pictures or with our imaginations. Since I am a stron visual learner and I love art also, I decided that my LINK will work most effectively with drawing pictures. So I used LINK with my MAT 221 and my HOA 106 class. My math class usually do not have that much of a words that I have to memorize but this math class which is a stathistic class, there are lot of words and logic involves behind it. Since I was only used to just calculating equations with numbers but the words that I have to know in this course are very new to me. So, I decided that using this stradegy, LINK on my math class will help me a lot.

The first pictures are all the words and definitions that I have to know for the chapters that I am going to take tests on in a few weeks. I wrote down some of the words and definitions first then linked it to either math graphs or charts, appropriately according to the words.

The second part of the LINK technique I used on was on the HOA 106 class. This is a real good class to use my LINK on because, this class is about the art pictures and the terms that was applied to create the art picture. So there are many art terms that is applied on the paintings. First what I did was I wrote down some of the words on the notebook then after I wrote down the definitions next to the pictures that uses that art technique terms. These set of pictures are, first the words that I have to know on the notebook, then the definitions are next to the paintings on the powerpoint slides.

LINK has helped me a lot. I am very glad that I got to know how to use this techniques. Since I am a visual learner, learning the words through your imaginations and pictures helped me remember the terms and correct definitions so much easier and so much faster. Linking the terms with correct pictures even helped me understnad the terms better and easier. From now on, when I have trouble with memorizing words, I am definately going to use this LINK technique on all my courses.

Sung Hoon LINK

As an international student who spent majority of lifetime in non-English speaking country, I have been having more difficulty remembering academic terms than those who grew up in the U.S. After trying many different ways to learn new words, I still have not found the perfect method that fits me. This week’s topic is memory and I learned LINK as a strategy for memorizing. I used LINK for JPS 102 and CFS 388. I chose Japanese because we have vocab quiz and kanji quiz every day and it is a very difficult work for me to memorize all of them without a clue.

On the first column, I put the words I need to memorize. On the second column, I wrote what the words sound like. On the third column, I gave the definitions of the words.

For the Japanese words, since they are originally closer to Korean, I put things in Korean on the second column. For example, I thought of 주인(ju-in) which means ‘owner’ for しゅじん which means ‘husband’ and as well as ‘owner’ just like the Korean word. For おとこ(male), I wrote (o-tto-ba-i) which means motorcycle because most people who ride motorcycle are men. Some people could think that things have to be closely related when you are trying to think of something sounds similar to a word you are attempting to memorize. I do not really think so. Even if you come up with something that means totally different thing, it still can help you remember.

While I was applying this method for those classes and making a sample for this blog, I could actually memorize many words I did not know. I felt that I would have done much better on verbal SAT if I used this method to study vocabs.

LLLLLINK!!!!!! -UNWOO

Since we have learned our language or other material, the most basic skill to learn something is ‘Memorizing’. At the same time, Memorizing is the hardest part in studying progress. Many people are having trouble about memorizing. When I was studying SAT for getting into Universities, the hardest part that students had was memorizing vocabulary. Every day, all the students should memorize 200 vocabularies. Most of students could not pass the test. However, some of the students, who had some special skill for memorizing vocabulary, are pass the test. One day, I asked them how to memorize the all the vocabulary. The smarty kids told about the Link. After I have known about Link, I could easily memorize all the vocabulary. I used Link about 4 years to memorize vocabulary I found the positive and negative side of the Link.

How to use Link system?

First of all, you should collect the words and concepts.

Second, you should create an image or word that can be pictured that looks like or sound like that abstract word or concept.

Finally, you should visualize an absurd picture intersecting the image.

English is the second language to me. So, it is really hard to memorize the American vocabulary. Using Link system could be more confusing to us to memorize. So, I imply the link system to my life. I changed a little bit for better memorizing. I imply the NEW link system to my ENL 202 class vocabulary quiz for tomorrow.

Vocabulary list

1.Abase lower; degrade; humiliate; make humble; make oneself lose self-respect

2.abbess n. woman who is head of a convent or nunnery

3.abbey n. building in which monks or nuns live as a community under an abbot or abbess

4.abbot n. man who is head of a monastery or abbey

5.abdicate renounce; give up position, right, or responsibility

6.abdomen n. part of the body below the chest and diaphragm, containing the stomach, bowels and digestive organs 7.abduction A carrying away of a person against his will, or illegally.

8.abed In bed; on a bed.

23.aboriginal being the first of its kind in a region; primitive; native; indigenous; N. aborigine

24.aborigine n. aboriginal inhabitant

25.aboveboard be in a straightforward manner

For the second step, there are two way to create image. One way is the make the image directly to the meaning. The other way is create image randomly and make story line about the word. It is depend on having or not having connection between word and definition. For example, Abase lower; degrade : A+base (The word ‘base’ has similar meaning with lower) has a connection between word and meaning. So, you could make image according to the definition. If this is not work, you could make the connection between word and definition. For example, the word aboveboard can be one. Aboveboard be in a straightforward manner : Above+board = straightforward manner above board could make a connection and sentence for better memorizing. The other way is orginal link system, which is create an image or word that can be pictured that looks like or sound like that abstract word or concept. For example, Abbess , abbey ,and abbot. These ways is easier to international students. These ways definitely more helpful to me to memorize vocabularies.

Finally, as I am a kinetic learner, I should make a flash card for better studying. I usually used to use second step 3 years ago. In my opinion, after second step, you could make note card or review the vocabulary every 2 hours instead of final step. For me, making a note card and review every 2 hours really helpful to me. After I made 25 cards, I reviewed the card every two hours. I just looked through the cards. I perfectly memorized every single word in the list.

In my opinion, the best way memorizing the vocabulary and the term is the making flash card and review the all thing. However, some of the words could not memorize for a long time. That is the time to using link system. In my experience, abusing link system could be very harmful for your long term memory. There is no doubt to using Link system to memorize. However, according to my experience abusing link system is very bad. So, I hope you guys use flash card and repeating more than link System.

This week I used the LINK system to help me remember vocabulary words in both my Representations class (ARC 181) and my Structures Class (ARC 121). I decided to use LINK because I am a visual learner and I thought creating visual imagery to coincide with important terms for both classes would be a big help for remembering exact definitions so I wouldn’t be confused when it came to the Representation project lectures and Structures test. One thing that I found difficult when using LINK was that the vocabulary words weren’t necessarily difficult words in themselves; it was just a specific definition of the word that I had to remember. For example, “Ventilation” was one of my vocab words for structures. Normally, one wouldn’t think that would even be a vocabulary word because the definition seems so obvious. But in my class, my professor refers to ventilation as a specific system that replenishes a well-insulated building with fresh, pre-heated or cooled outside air. Because the definition was so specific, and the word had a different common definition, it was difficult to think about what the word “looked like” and “sounded like” without being distracted by my pre-knowledge of the word. It was also difficult to not create images that were too complicated. It was hard for me to come up with images that didn’t make sense because I am a pretty rational person, and learning how to take a step back and crate images that didn’t necessarily make sense to me took some practice. However, I think the action of synthesizing the looks like/sounds like image with something that actually relates to the definition required the most imagination and helped me the most in the eventual memorization of the material.

I would say that this strategy of memorization works well for the way I learn, and it is definitely useful for a better understanding of the lectures, but I am still skeptical of exactly how useful this action will be towards getting a better grade on my Evaluations for either class. Because the material being tested on my exams and in my projects is not the vocabulary itself but the application of the vocabulary, I feel like a method that helps me relate the terms would have been more useful than the memorization of the term. Because the relationships are more of what is tested, I think creating graphic organizers has been the best way for me to remember the material and the most effective way for me to study for my evaluations.

Likewise, with my representations class, I was using LINK to help memorize the different applications and commands available on some of the computer programs that I have to learn. Instead of making up images describing the the way the command looked or sounded to remember the words definition, it would helped me more to draw pictures of exactly what the command does in each program since the words (for example: extrude, Planar Surface, join, Boolean, etc) all have common definitions that are applied differently in each program.

LINK it up!!

This week's topic is on memorization and we often have to use this on any kind of subject matter. Whether it is math, science, history, etc, memorization is key to success. However, many of us suffer because we do not really have an efficient way to memorize things. I will be sharing the strategy I used/tried out for my Bio123 course. This is called a LINK strategy.
What this strategy makes you do is that, when you have a certain word or short phrases to memorize, you come up with a very exaggerated, unusual, and absurd thing that sounds like or looks like the word. Pretty much, whatever that comes up in your head first is going to be the one that will help you memorize easier. You try to visualize the word and match it with some thing that you can physically touch. When you associate a word with something very absurd and unusual that you only know about, that word and whatever you are thinking of will stick in your brain.
For Bio this week, we already took an exam so there was not a lot to cover. However, since we started learning about new things I figured i should try out some memorization strategies. Since I'm a kinesthetic learner, by having me physically come up with matching words or anything will help me learn quicker and more efficiently. In our lecture, we went through couple teeth structures and names. Having me just trying to memorize the name of the teeth to its function and location would be hard to do. It is do-able but it would be efficient. So, I used the link strategy.
We have set of teeth called "Incisors", so I thought to myself, it sounds like "scissors" and "scissors" cut down (biting). Another example is, the set of teeth called "Canine". It sounded like the k9 dogs, which are very ferocious and can cut down into flesh. So I figured, that would be the sharpest set of teeth. Premolars/ Molars are just simply easy to memorize the function so I used them to help me in my location of the teeth. Premolars sounded like "Pre-MARS" (planet) so it should be before MARS. Molars sounded like MARS so I associated that into being the farthest one out of all the teeth.

I believe that this strategy can be very helpful in the future since most of my classes consist of me memorizing words and definitions. However for me, I only have certain words that i can relate to something random and still be able to memorize it. It probably wouldn't be my main source of memorization but I think if I change it around a little bit, I should be able to use it on my own good.

Seongju Memory

Memorization is one of the most important things to not only students but also to many other people. It is important but not easy so people write down things on their notes to not forget. For students like us, we use our memory more often when we prepare for the tests and memorize terms that we learned in lectures. When I study for the exams and memorize terms, I only remember most things in short-term memory as I read over and over the terms and meanings several times, forcing to put those in my head for the tests. I usually memorize and study those when the test date is close because I know I'm going to forget them soon after I memorize. However, with one of the strategy, Link System, it will make memorization easier and lasts longer for the quizzes, tests, and the final exam. I used this strategy, link system, to ENL 211 and ECN 301 to try the effectiveness of the memorization strategy that we learned this week because these two classes have many difficult terms to memorize.

Since there are a lot of reading assignments in ENL 211, I need to learn and memorize many vocabularies to understand the readings and write. Here are my list of vocabularies and the use of link system to learn the vocabularies that I did not understand while reading.

For ECN 301, there are lots of terms and vocabularies that I do not understand and to memorize. I also adapted the link system to ECN 301 class to make memorizing easier.

These strategies made me make up linking words that sounds or looks similar that makes me think of each other. It helped me to memorize much easier and remember for longer period of time because these links make it easier to learn the words or terms and meanings together. As an international student, there are more vocabularies and terms to memorize more than domestic students. I believe it will be very helpful for me to memorize and study for the exams more effectively.

Sung Hoon TART

Reading is a part of studying I have been having difficulties with since high school. Whenever I figure out that I have to do some reading for classes, I give a sigh of dislike before starting. For most of classes I am taking this semester, I have reading assignments. Even if I do not have to read for a class, in test or exam preparation period, I have to do much reading. I thought about the reasons why I hate(?) reading so much. First, when I am reading textbooks, I get tired and distracted very easily. Second, I get tired and distracted because there are too many new terms I have to know. Since I am having difficulties with reading because of the terms, I had decided to use the TART strategy for courses MAT 221 and CFS 338 because they are the classes that many terms and much reading are needed for.

I wrote down the terms my TA mentions the most in class and I added the definitions for them too. I know what terms he uses most often because I have never missed a class. I have been attending every single class each week.

Unlike other math classes that only use numbers in, we have lots of terms and definitions to memorize in order to solve the problems in statistics class. When I was in high school, I had experienced that I could not understand the lecture and text because there were too many terms I should have known. By writing down the terms, I could automatically memorize most of them.

After reviewing all the terms, I tried actually reading the textbook. Since I studied the terms, it was easier for me to understand most of the text but there were still some parts that confused me.

As the last part of TART, I decided to make a question that is related to the terms I just studied. I got an idea for the question from the textbook that I already have done but had some difficulties with. Knowing the definitions for ‘disjoint’ and ‘independent’, I could solve the problem much quicker than before.

I did the same for CFS 388. It was easier for me to apply the strategy because I already had done this for math.

I think TART is a good strategy a kinesthetic learner like me to use because this actually helps me to understand the class materials and the text.

Unwoo TART

As this weekend topic is the ‘Reading’, I read CLS textbook, and tried to figure out which skill has a best shape for me. At the same time, I thought about my reading skill that I used past 20 years. In my opinion, I was not the best reader. However, I was not the worst too. When I was in the high school, I always skimmed the all chapter before I go to class. Because it was easy to me understood lecture and class material, reading before the class was best way that I prepared the class. The way that I used in the high school was not that bad for my grade. But my way works just for few classes in Syracuse university, which has a small amount of reading. Another classes that have tremendous reading such as ECN 301 isn’t work. It makes me hard to follow the every single lecture and class material. However, the reading skills that I learned from CLS books showed me another way to prepare the class. Which are TART (Terms, Attend, Read, and Test) and NSAS (No salts and sauce to guide me through my reading assignment). The reason I choose TART for my reading skill is that is really similar with my old reading skill that I used. It is also very useful for lecture-dependent class. It looks very familiar.

TART has a four different step, which are Term, Attend, Read, and Test.
First step, Term is the kind of skimming but not exactly same. You should open the book and find bold words. Most of them are important and key words for understanding chapter. You should carefully read or note. So, you could understand those words perfectly.
Second step, you should attend the class for better understanding. Take a note as usual in class. After class, you should re-read your note.
Third step, reading your text books is most important step. You should not use everything in your textbook. You should read books as follow what you read and note before.
Final step, making test what you read throughout all steps is kind a self review session for better reader.
I tried to imply TART to my ECN 301. As following the instructor, I tried to find key words for better understanding. I used a book and power-point. It seems most important terms are in the power- point. As I am kinesthetic leaner, I used my note book and note card for better understanding and quick learning.
After I understanding and memorizing those words, I attended the class for note taking. At this point, I used Cornell/SU note for better review.
After taking note and review all the material I should read, I opened the book and started to read. I could get a point that I should focus. It is really easy to read.
After I read I think I understand most of things that I should know, i think I could make one full test for chapter that I read. For all three steps, It was great experience. Making test can be very good to review the material. However, for me, it is really does not work very well. I think it is just waste of time. So, I just review all my work again and again. I think repeating works better for me.

Seongju X minute Reading

This week's topic is focused on reading strategies. Reading is particularly difficult for international students due to our imperfection in the language. I could definitely state that the x minute reading strategy helps greatly. Before this exercise, I used to summarize after finishing the entire book or article. I usually forget key points in between or was confused by the end of my readings. Now that I have adapted the x minute reading strategy on the article "A Boyhood Friendship in a Divided Valley", I begin to deepen my understanding by dividing the article into subgroups of 2 minutes intervals.

This strategy emphasizes on the importance of every paragraph or section. This strategy consists of five steps, including survey, read, summarize, review, and reward. Before digging into the details of the story or article, I first start with the "Survey" step - getting a general idea of the text by reading the title, introduction, objectives, summary, headings, subheadings, and list of terms. First start by brainstorming the text by knowing the title and determining the time interval according to my attention span. The title "A Boyhood Friendship in a Divided Valley" suggests a story regarding a friendship that was divided by an environmental conflict. The title also implies the importance of friendship despite race, ethnicity, culture, traditions, backgrounds, language, nationality, and preferences. I jot down notes for every section of 2 minutes intervals. There is a total of six sections in the reading I chose from ENL 211. After reviewing the important points and keywords from previous sections, I carefully make a conclusion on what I read on the current part. Therefore, I simultaneously read, make notes, and review. The very last step, reward, induces motivation and confidence for reading. I rewarded myself with computer games and  This strategy is not at all complicated or time consuming but even helpful and efficient for slow readers.
It will be helpful to understand and organize the stories better. Since I have classes that deal with a lot of writings and readings, this strategy will be useful for me to adapt to my reading assignments.

Reading is my enemy

I can say that reading is the most important part of studying for the courses. There are lot of readings withing every courses that I am taking. Even in math, there is reading. All the courses that I am taking now has almost first priority of reading texts. Without reading, I could not catch up well with the classes. For a kinesthetic learner like me, I am very bad with reading. I learn much much better when I am actually writing things down on the flashcards or on the side instead of just reading and reading. So I have tried two strategies with my econ class.
First I tried the TART strategy. Before my lectures, I wrote down the terms according to the chapters that we were going to cover in class. Then during the lecture, I wrote down some of the definition professor said in class. And after the class, the terms that were left blank because the professor really did not go over them in class, I went home and read the textbooks then wrote down the definitions. After reading the text and attending the lecture, the terms were clarified and I understood the terms much better. After filling out all the terms, I had created a questions according to the terms so the questions can also help me do well in the exam.
The next stradegy I have used was NSAS, which was the No Salt and Sauce. I also used this technique for my econ class. For this technique, I had read the text book and actually highlighted the main focus in the topics. Also, on the side of the highlighted sentences, I had written down quesitons that might help me on a exam. The next thing I did was print out all the lecture slides on blackboard. I printed out the lecture slides and wrote down notes on the side, every slides just like creating a flashcards. I wrote down terms on the side and then wrote down definitions according to the lecture slides.

These are the images that I have used for NSAS technique. I have printed out all the lecture slides from blackboard, then I have written down terms, definitions, and questions on the side.

As a strong kinesthetic learner, I have to say the NSAS technique worked better for me. I actually learn lot better when I am actually writing things down. For NSAS, I was reading and highlighting at the same time which helped me focus just on the highlighted parts which are the important notes. And also by looking at the lecture slides were so much easier than just simply reading off from textbooks. The slides seemed more clear and easier to read and I liked how I can write the notes on the side. TART and NSAS was both a good stradegy but I have to say for a kinesthetic learner like me, NSAS was a better choice for a reading assignment.

TART

Last week's topic was TART with the definitions belows:
Terms- get from the bold print or listing in the chapter
Attend- Listen for the terms, explanation, and examples.
Read- Clarify lecture
Test- Create questions and review
By using TART strategy it allows you to first take a preview of what is going to come up in lecture. I used this strategy for BIOLOGY this week. Most professors like mine have a syllabus telling us what we will be going over during each lecture. So, that means, I can look up terms or phrases that I would expect to see or hear during lecture. By getting a quick review like that, it allows me to listen carefully to what my teacher is saying and try to listen for the terms I have already reviewed.
For me, I looked on the back of each chapters that were suppose to go through and I made a quick list of just the terms to look for during lecture. Even though I had no clue of what these terms meant I knew they were going to be talked about in class so i wrote them all down.
My next task was to go to class and listen for the terms i have listed. I noticed that, because I had these terms to look out for, it made me concentrate in lecture. I did not want to lose focus and miss out on the terms. I managed to get all the definitions of the terms during lecture meaning they were all important. I did not really have to do much looking up after class. I planned on going into the textbooks to get definitions and examples but I managed to do all of that in class.
Then lastly, when I got back to my room, I used a 20 minute test prep in order to create couple questions and review them and also looking over my terms again.

This strategy seemed to help me because I am a kinesthetic learner and I have DO something in order to understand. By writing down all the terms and then later filling them out with definitions by myself helped me remember things a lot better in my long term memories.

Note taking

I am really not good at taking notes. Since I am an international student and I have some difficulties taking notes and listening to lecture, it is very hard for me to take good notes in class. I sometimes just give up on taking notes and rather listen to lecture when I feel like I would be able to remember all what the instructors say. However, I always fail to remember the information I got in the lecture. I needed some way to help myself recording lectures. I thought the blog this week was a good chance for me to overcome my difficulties on taking notes.

I take notes in class of course but since I almost copy what my TA writes on board or dictate what he says, my notes from MAT are not organized. It is not easy for me to find the terms in my notes because they are in between the example problems. To make it simpler to look up those terms, I wrote all the terms on a separate sheet of paper.

I wrote the definitions on the bigger box, the key point on the top box and the terms on the box on the left. Now I can see what I have learned on this day just by looking at this sheet.
However, since this is math, I feel like I still have to go back to my original notes to see the examples the terms and definitons are applied in.

By making a new note for MAT, I could review once more and felt more organized.

I think this is a good strategy to use when you wanna be organized in terms of notes and you have many terms to review.

This week, creating my To Do Notes was on my To Do list. I was actually pretty excited to apply this strategy because I have been looking for a way to organize my notes for my Studio class in a meaningful/helpful way for me to reference later. Before using this strategy when reviewing my Studio notes, I would only look at the pictures I drew of examples during class, and if there didn't happen to be any pictures, I would just skip over that page of information.

What I liked about the To Do notes strategy was that the information I took down in class became graphically organized, which caters to my Visual Learning style. It was also useful to me because I was forced to reread all of my notes and reorganize it in a comprehensive manner, catering to my Kinesthetic side. the action of organizing the information into the different pieces of the chart was key for me because many times in the past I had forgotten important information for lack of want to rereading my jumbled and wordy class notes. The Chart definitely facilitates quick referencing, which helps me focus on the material I need to focus on for the next iteration of a design project. Using an overall assignment To Do Chart in conjunction with a daily To Do chart also helps me understand how each class is relevant to the creation of the final project, which we are evaluated on.

Though rewriting the information into a chart each class was useful, I felt that some of the information I was writing down become redundant as I had already written it in my overarching (long-term) To Do Chart and my class notes. Also, I am still figuring out if there would me titles for each block that would be more relevant to my Studio course.

Seongju Note Taking

This week's topic is about note-taking as a prepartion for tests or project. Among several tests and projects, I chose a project from my IST 195 class. This is a long term project that requires posting blogs every Monday just like this blogging in CLS 105. So I chose To-Do Notes method to organize and prepare for my Entrepreneurship Initiative Project. The professor gave us an instruction for the project at the beginning of the semester. This long-term project started on January 31st and ends on Marth 28th. The project is to come up with an technological and innovative idea to improve our lives.
Here is the final due date and overview of the project.

We come up with an idea and then post blogs every Monday that is related to the weekly lectures and lessons that professor gives. Lectures and lessons are the sources for the blogs and the our thoughts are the sources for the project. There is a GA meeting in the middle of the project to check up our ideas and compare with each other. We should attend because it's 5 points worth of our project. The professor also gave us the instruction that how our projects are graded.

We first had to create an account for blogger.com. Then we have 8 blogs to be posted on each Mondays. 6 blogs are about ideas related to materials that we covered in every class. Another post is the review and summary of other's blogs after reading them. Lastly we write a final summary post for our own idea.
Here is my picture of To-Do Notes for this project.
In directions, I put how I started this project by making an account on blogger.com and when and what I should post on a blog including GA meeting, comment blog, and final summary blog. For materials and sources, I put weekly lectures from professor because the blogs are based on the materials that is covered every class. In reminders, I should post blogs every Monday, and it should be at least 3 paragraphs long. The project is due 3/28/2011 and we should submit our URL by 3/31/2011.
It helped me to oraganize the project well. It was easy for me to read and it reminded me a lot by rereading instructions and reviewing my project. It's well organized now that I should just focus on what I should do every week and how I should end by 3/28/2011.

Unwoo

As this weekend topic is related to the Exam experiment and some special note taking in class, I should choose on specific class for exam experiment. Same as last time, continuously, I choose an ECN class, which is going to have a Exam on March 7th following week. I really hate to take a note, while I am listening lecture in class. It is really disturbing me to concentrate to the class. I cannot do listening and note-taking at the same time. It is just like that. I know this is very awful and unproductive habit. Fortunately, few days ago, I found a solution for taking note. In my College Learning Strategies class, called CLS, teach me how to overcome this situation. Recording was the solution.

On March 3rd, that was the ECN review session for the test, I really do not want to miss anything for my better grade. I really want to take a note for memorizing and remembering all the information. However, I knew that Listening and note-taking at the same time is not work for me. Suddenly, I had remembered what I heard in CLS class, which is ‘RECORDING’. I brought my I-touch right away and started to record my professor’s lecture.

After I recorded ECN lecture, I took a note from I-touch easily. There are few ways to take a note, such as Plug-in note, To do note, 3+1 note, and SU/Cornell note. At this time, I used a SU/Cornell note for my better organizing and productive note. According to SU/Cornell note, first step is that dividing three sections for note, term, and summary. Second step is that filling the lecture information on the note section. Final step is that filling the term and summary section by yourself. In my opinion, SU/Cornell note is very creative and productive for reviewing what we learned today, it is also very good to imply for 20min test prep. Especially, final step is just for the 20mins review after class. I think this note taking strategy is very good for recalling our memory what we learned.

Implement of the SU/Cornell Note

Also, I imply SU/Cornell note for memorizing and studying about concept and term instead of using note card. I make a little change for my comfort. First of all, I divided A4 printing page by 2 sections. One is for the term. The other is for the description, note, and graph. Second and last, filling the all the information in the two section. Then, this way will help you study a lot.
