I take notes in class of course but since I almost copy what my TA writes on board or dictate what he says, my notes from MAT are not organized. It is not easy for me to find the terms in my notes because they are in between the example problems. To make it simpler to look up those terms, I wrote all the terms on a separate sheet of paper.
I wrote the definitions on the bigger box, the key point on the top box and the terms on the box on the left. Now I can see what I have learned on this day just by looking at this sheet.
However, since this is math, I feel like I still have to go back to my original notes to see the examples the terms and definitons are applied in.
By making a new note for MAT, I could review once more and felt more organized.
I think this is a good strategy to use when you wanna be organized in terms of notes and you have many terms to review.
Which note taking strategy did you use? Can you name /specify it? -yuan
ReplyDeleteI think you used SU/Cornell notes for math class. I see it on the picture of your notes written small and I figured out by looking at your notes, the way you used. Good job using the strategy and I felt the same way in the calss while taking notes as an international student. Good job.
